About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Remote Shipping Admin Assistant to support freight and shipping operations, with a strong focus on import documentation, administrative coordination, and communication with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, check, and maintain shipping documents related to import shipments and freight operations.
- Support import-related matters, including documentation tracking, shipment updates, and coordination with relevant parties.
- Provide customer service support by responding to shipping-related enquiries and updating stakeholders on shipment status.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly filed for internal records.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to support daily operational requirements.
- Monitor shipment progress and highlight any delays, missing documents, or operational issues promptly.
- Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks related to shipping, logistics, and import coordination.
Requirements
- Prior experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, import coordination, or administrative support is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, permits, or related import documents will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documents and records.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Organised, responsible, and able to follow up on tasks independently in a remote working arrangement.
- Responsive, proactive, and able to manage multiple administrative tasks within deadlines.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM (GMT+8 – Singapore Time)
Salary: Singapore Dollars $600 – $800 per month
