Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Executive / Shipping Assistant to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end shipment activities, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting warehouse operations to facilitate smooth and timely dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shipment Coordination & Processing
- Arrange and coordinate both local and international shipments.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, shipping lines, couriers, and transport providers.
- Schedule pickups, deliveries, and shipment timelines.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or delivery issues.
2. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify shipping documents including:
- Bill of Lading (B/L)
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Airway Bill (AWB)
- Certificate of Origin
- Import / Export permits
- Customs declarations
- Ensure all documentation complies with customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, and internal SOPs.
3. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on packing, labelling, inventory preparation, and stock dispatch planning.
- Verify shipment quantities and product specifications prior to dispatch.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding (fresh graduates will not be considered).
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and customs procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with logistics or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
