Junior Project Manager, Drone Operations & Technology

Company Overview

We are a growing aviation and drone solutions company supporting clients across aircraft maintenance, infrastructure inspection, traffic monitoring, and other commercial drone applications. As a channel partner and project contractor, we work closely with clients to plan and carry out drone-based operations that improve inspection efficiency, workplace safety, and data collection. Our projects involve collaboration across drone pilots, engineers, technical specialists, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.

Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Junior Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of drone and robotics projects. You will assist with understanding client requirements, preparing project documentation, coordinating internal resources, and supporting field deployments. You will also work alongside experienced project managers, engineers, and drone operations teams to ensure projects are completed safely and according to agreed requirements.

This role is suitable for fresh graduates or early-career professionals interested in drones, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, aviation, or autonomous systems. Training and guidance will be provided. 

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement and Project Coordination
  • Support discussions with clients to understand their operational requirements, project objectives, and expected deliverables.
  • Assist in translating client requirements into clear project scopes, timelines, and action plans.
  • Prepare project quotations, proposals, presentation materials, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings, progress updates, and client briefings.
Project Planning and Execution
  • Assist in preparing project schedules, deployment plans, resource requirements, and key milestones.
  • Coordinate with drone pilots, engineers, technical specialists, vendors, and support teams.
  • Track project progress, outstanding tasks, risks, and deliverables.
  • Prepare meeting notes, project reports, checklists, and status updates.
  • Escalate operational or technical issues to the relevant team members for timely resolution.
Technical and Operational Support
  • Develop a working understanding of drone hardware, flight controllers, payloads, sensors, communication systems, and mission-planning tools.
  • Support the coordination of hardware or software integration activities.
  • Assist technical teams with system preparation, configuration tracking, testing, and project documentation.
  • Ensure that project activities follow internal safety procedures, operational requirements, and applicable aviation regulations.
Field Operations and Testing
  • Participate in site surveys, pre-deployment checks, flight trials, system testing, and project deployments.
  • Assist in preparing operational checklists, site documentation, risk assessments, and trial reports.
  • Record flight observations, system performance, client feedback, and operational issues.
  • Report anomalies or technical issues to the drone operations and engineering teams.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates with up to two years of experience in project coordination, engineering, robotics, drones, aviation, or technology-related environments are encouraged to apply.
  • Exposure to hardware, robotics, autonomous systems, embedded systems, computer vision, or engineering projects through internships, academic projects, or personal projects is advantageous.
  • Strong interest in drone technology, aircraft inspection, automation, robotics, or AI-enabled solutions.
  • Good organisational and project coordination skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly with clients, technical teams, and operational stakeholders.
  • Comfortable preparing reports, presentations, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, follow up on action items, and work within project timelines.
  • Willing to participate in outdoor site visits, system trials, and field deployments when required.
  • Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn within a hands-on technical environment.
