We are seeking to hire a highly driven, proactive and experienced individual to be our Business Development Manager! As our first hire in Malaysia, you will own the market-entry strategy, build meaningful partnerships, and drive end-to-end sales for our SaaS platform in the financial and insurance sectors.
This is a remote-first role with full autonomy and high impact — hence we are looking for candidates with a strong Fintech or Insurtech background, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for the company
- Identify, target, and close B2B opportunities with Financial Advisory Firms, Insurance Companies, Wealth Management Platforms, and Investment Consultants.
- Leverage your existing network to generate leads and referrals
- Conduct discovery calls, product demos, and solution presentations
- Collaborate closely with the founder to fine-tune sales messaging and CRM feature positioning
- Represent us at relevant events, meetups, and virtual showcases (where possible)
- Gather market feedback and contribute to product improvement suggestions
- Build strategic partnerships for potential B2B2C growth opportunities
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development in Fintech / Insurtech
- Demonstrated success in selling SaaS or digital financial tools to enterprise or SME clients
- Strong network in the Malaysian financial services and insurance sectors
- Independent and resourceful — able to thrive as a first hire in a new market
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (English & Bahasa Malaysia preferred)
- Comfortable with remote work setup and digital-first outreach strategies
- Bonus: Familiarity with CRM tools, financial planning platforms, or digital onboarding solutions
